Job Description: We are experiencing tremendous client demand and are looking to expand our technical services team. As a Consultant/Senior Consultant, you will lead the delivery team, consisting of cross-functional resources, and oversee the successful delivery of a wide range of projects. You will also contribute to the strategic and operational plans for Ogon, ensuring that we continue to build upon our growth objectives.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

As a Consultant/Senior Consultant, you will:

  • Product Design and Configuration:
    • Lead the design and configuration of the product for new and existing customers across platforms, including content management, core product configuration using Java/XML, product upgrades, and digital solutions and integration.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee effort estimation, work planning, and quality assurance aspects of the development work performed by you and your team.
  • Mentorship:
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to other team members, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Client Consulting:
    • Offer consulting services to customers, identifying the best solutions to address their business challenges.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Ensure the team works cohesively to achieve set goals and targets, promoting a collaborative environment.
  • Networking:
    • Engage and network with various industry professionals to foster relationships and explore potential opportunities.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Manage client relationships for assigned accounts and identify opportunities to upsell services.
  • Innovation:
    • Innovate new approaches to elevate team performance and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience in enterprise P&C core products such as Guidewire InsuranceNow (plus), Majesco, InsuranceSuite, Sapiens, etc.
  • Prior experience with a background in Java/XML and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development processes and SCRUM methodologies.
  • Knowledge of business transformation, process reengineering, or change management practices.
  • Ability to gain credibility and influence effective business decisions with senior customer management.
  • Strong coordination skills with the ability to multitask and address multiple priorities.
  • Initiative in starting and completing multiple projects independently.
  • Proven ability to lead in a client-billable resource team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with financial application software and/or industry experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance is preferred.

Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with Java environments like Apache Tomcat and databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Java Enterprise Development.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as XML, HTML, JavaScript, and Velocity.
  • Experience in software development with tools like Enterprise Architect, Eclipse IDE, source version control with CVS, and build tools like ANT.
